Call for Advice

CEBS today received an informal call for advice on the classes of information exchanged under Article 42 of the CRD

Date: 17/03/2009

Following the European Banking Committee meeting on 5th March 2009, CEBS received a call for advice from the European Commission on the classes of information that competent authorities are required to exchange under Article 42 of Directive 2006/48/EC ("the Capital Requirements Directive" or "CRD").

The purpose of this call for advice is to increase certainty and a shared understanding among supervisors about the information that home and host competent authorities are required to provide, or are entitled to receive, in relation to credit institutions that carry on activities in a Member State other than their home State through a branch.

The Advice has been now published under the following link: /cebs-archive/publications/opinions-advices/2009/cebs-today-published-its-advice-on-the-information-that-may-be-exchanged-between-home-and-host-supervisors-of-branches-under-article-42-of-the-crd.
