Careers at the EBA are open to nationals of the 27 European Union Member States as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway. There is no national quota system in operation. However, the EBA shall ensure geographical and gender balance and compliance with the principle of equal opportunities, in accordance with Articles 1d and 27 of the Staff Regulations (SR) and the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants of the European Communities (CEOS).

Candidates who are successful in a selection procedure are placed on a reserve list. The validity of the reserve list is established in the relevant vacancy notice.

The validity period of a reserve list may be extended depending on the need of the EBA. The established reserve list may be used for the recruitment of a similar post. Inclusion on the reserve list does not guarantee recruitment.

Vacancies in the spotlight

Three vacancies are currently open for the joint oversight team of the three European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) in the context of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).

Director – Joint Oversight Venture

This position was launched by the EBA. This is a managerial position to lead a multidisciplinary, multicultural, and multi-located team of high-level professionals entrusted with the mission of carrying out DORA oversight activities for critical third-party providers across the entire financial sector.

Legal Expert – Legal and Compliance

This position was launched by EIOPA. The selected candidate will act as a legal expert advising on the activities of the ESAs in financial innovation and digital operational resilience, with a particular focus on the oversight of critical ICT third-party service providers introduced by DORA.
