EBA publication on hard test results
- Question
-
Does EBA plan to publish information related to loss rates for immovable property markets in third countries? If yes, when is such a publication to be expected and which third countries will be covered?
- Background on the question
-
According to Art. 126 (3) Regulation 2024/1623, EBA may publish information related to loss rates for immovable property markets in third countries, if the competent authority of such a third country does not publish such information. Knowing whether EBA actually plans such a publication or not is important for banks in order to ensure a best possible preparation for the reporting under new CRR3 (starting very soon from 2025). In addition, it would be very welcome if EBA would publish relevant information in a centralized manner in order to ensure a level playing field.
