Guidelines on the revised large exposures regime

  • Status:

These Guidelines aim at ensuring an harmonised application of the revised large exposures regime regarding the definition of "connected clients", in particular with reference to the concepts of "control" and "economic interconnection".

Part II of these Guidelines (on the treatment for large exposure purposes of schemes with exposures to underlying assets) has been replaced by the Regulatory Technical Standards on the determination of the overall exposure to a client or a group of connected clients in respect of transactions with underlying assets, which have been adopted and published in the Official Journal.

These Guidelines were repealed and replaced by the Guidelines on connected clients (EBA/GL/2017/15).
