Public Hearing on Covered Bonds

The European Banking Authority (EBA) is working on a report on covered bonds in response to a call from the European Commission (EC) for advice on the prudential treatment of covered bonds and a request from the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) to identify, in cooperation with National Competent Authorities (NCAs), best practices in relation to covered bonds.

The EBA will be hosting a public hearing in order to discuss the recommendations in its draft report with market participants and other interested parties, before it is finalised and submitted to the EC and the ESRB.”
