The European Banking Authority (EBA) published today an updated list of institutions, which have a reporting obligation for the purpose of the 2023 EU supervisory benchmarking exercise. The EBA will be conducting the 2023 benchmarking exercise on a sample of 117 institutions from 16 countries across the EU and the European Economic Area. The EBA runs this exercise leveraging on established data collection procedures and formats of regular supervisory reporting and assists Competent Authorities in assessing the quality of internal approaches used to calculate risk weighted exposure amounts.
The European Banking Authority (EBA) launched today a public consultation on its draft Guidelines on the criteria related to simplicity, standardisation and transparency and additional specific criteria for on-balance-sheet securitisations (so-called STS criteria). These Guidelines will ensure a harmonised interpretation of these STS criteria, in alignment with the EBA Guidelines for traditional securitisations. The consultation runs until 7 July 2023.

The European Banking Authority (EBA) launched today a public consultation on its draft Guidelines on the assessment of adequate knowledge and experience of the management or administrative organ of credit servicers, as a whole, under the Non-Performing Loans Directive. The Guidelines aim at ensuring that the organs are suitable to conduct the business of the credit servicer in a competent and responsible manner. The consultation runs until 19 July 2023.

The European Banking Authority (EBA) launched today a public consultation on the draft Guidelines on resubmission of historical data under the EBA reporting framework. The objective of the draft guidelines is to provide a common approach to the resubmission by the financial institutions of historical data to the competent and resolution authorities in case there are errors, inaccuracies or other changes in the data reported in accordance with the supervisory and resolution reporting framework developed by the EBA. The consultation runs until 31 July 2023.
