Reporting C67 - "Concentration of funding by counterparty ", why the product coding has not evolved compared to the new EBA text ?
- Question
-
As part of the implementation of the new ITS on reporting on the ‘Additional Monitoring Tools’ to put into production by the end of March 2018, we found that in the specifications of new taxonomies for reporting C 67.00 – ‘Concentration of funding by counterparty’, the product coding has not evolved. The new EBA text mentions the renaming of the ‘REPO’ product category to ‘SFT’ and the addition of two new categories: ‘OSWF - Other secured wholesale funding’ and ‘OFP - Other funding products’.
Why is the taxonomy not aligned with the new EBA text?

The DPM for version 2.7 of the reporting framework is not aligned with the instructions on column 050 (product type) of template C 67.00 (Concentration of funding by counterparty) of Annexes XVIII (template) and XIX (instructions) to Regulation (EU) No 680/2014 (ITS on Supervisory Reporting) as amended by Regulation (EU) 2017/2114.
Therefore, the reporting of the product type in column 050 should, where possible, follow the codes based on the previous DPM version and the code reported shall be the code which corresponds best to the product codes provided by the new instructions; otherwise the product type shall be left empty.
More specifically,
- the new product codes ‘SFT’ and ‘OSWF’ should be reported as ‘REPO’,
- while in those cases where ‘OFP’ would be the most suitable product type as defined by the revised instructions, column 050 shall be left blank.
The amendment introducing the new product codes will take place in DPM version 2.8.
